The Mercedes-Benz C-Class facelift has stripped of its camo, inching closer to its debut set for the end of this year. The mid-size sedan is set to follow in the footsteps of its bigger brothers, the S- and the E-Class in terms of technology. The prototype though, sports headlights with a never-seen-before layout.

The interior of the C sedan will undergo major changes, as the dual screen layout from the S and the E-Class models will be transplanted in it. A new steering wheel with touchpad controls and a redesigned instrument panel will make up the interior of the future car. The car might also receive the latest edition of the Mercedes infotainment system with extra safety assistants.

On the outside, the C-Class gets a brand-new set of headlights and a redesigned bumper, complete with new air intakes, while the lower part of the radiator grille will also sport a new look. The changes operated at the rear seem minimal for the moment. The C-Class range, sedan and wagon both, will also shelter the new 2.0-liter 4-cylinder diesel engine, that made its debut together with the E-Class, while the 2.1-liter unit will be put on the retirement list.
