A 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster comes all the way from Japan, with just 15.600 kilometers on the odometer (9.700 miles) is to be auctioned at the Bonhams event. Registered in the UK, the valuable left-hand drive automobile will go on sale just as we speak, in Monte Carlo.

With the chassis number WDD1994761M001821, this spectacular 2008 Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster, powered by a 5.5-liter V8, stays one of the most powerful series-production road going sports cars ever made. The car hits the 100 km/h (62 mph) speed in just 3.8 seconds and it needs a bit over 10 seconds to reach 200 km/h.

The two-seater boasts a speed of 334km/h (207 mph). Its 5-speed automatic transmission was specially upgraded for very high torque and designed to offer the driver the option to select between various shifting characteristics via the Speedshift system. The beauty runs on 19-inch turbine style alloy wheels, with gold brake calipers.

The SLR McLaren came into the world as a 2005 model year, with Mercedes-Benz dreaming of selling 3,500 of them. Eventually, only 2,300 units was built.

The model auctioned in Monte Carlo was delivered brand-new to Japan. It was the apple of his eyes for the first owner, who ordered it in May 2005 and repetitively took it to the Mercedes-Benz AMG main dealer in Tokyo for inspections.
The car comes complete with its original tool kit, battery charger, wind deflector, service booklet, instruction manuals, brochure and ceremonial book.

The car is expected to fetch between €310,000 – 360,000. We’ll keep you posted!
