For Mercedes-Benz USA, the best-ever June has just come to an end with no less than 28,473 vehicles sold in the first month of summer and last month of the second quarter. Together with Mercedes-Benz Vans, the American branch recorded a 2.3% increase compared to last year’s figures.

“A major highpoint for June was the launch of the new E-Class,” said Dietmar Exler, president and CEO of MBUSA. “This, along with the launch of several dream cars, will position us for a strong third quarter.”

The C-Class, the GLE and the E-Class were the model lines that sold best in June. 6,867 C-Class models, followed by 4,515 GLEs and 4,292 new E-Class models are the figures that top the sales.

It was an amazing month for the Mercedes-AMG powerhouse, with 1,597 units sold in June, up 56.4% from last year (1,021). It’s a number that helps them go way past the 10,000-unit milestone, at 10,945 cars already sold year-to-date (up 81%).
