The largest and most important tech conference in Asia, RISE 2018, is taking place this week in Hong Kong and Dieter Zetsche, Chief Executive of Daimler AG, will be there to show the Asians how important their market is to the three-pointed star brand.

Dr. Z will explain about artificial intelligent and learning machines helping to fulfill customers’ wishes in a market pursuing high-end tech. Therefore, the already available A-Class, fitted with the MBUX system, and the Concept EQA are the perfect arguments in such a talk.

RISE will take place from the 9th to the 12th of July and Dieter Zetsche will reveal the cultural differences of the Asian, European and American markets. The conference will be attended by 15,000 participants from more than 100 countries.

“We have consciously chosen RISE as an international forum because it offers us an opportunity to engage in dialogue with the tech community, both on-site at the event and in the social networks,” says Jörg Howe, Head of Global Communications Daimler AG.

RISE becomes an international launch platform for the EQ brand as well. The Concept EQA has already arrived in Hong Kong and will be presented at the conference, to show how electric mobility might be reflected in the compact class – fully electric, digital and networked.

MBUX User interface

Next-gen MBUX user interface was presented at the 2018 CES

There will also be the recently introduced Mercedes-Benz A-Class sedan, with its MBUX system with the intelligent voice control with natural speech recognition is now proficient in various Chinese dialects, including Sichuanese and Cantonese.

Last year, more than 14,000 participants from over 100 countries attended RISE at the Hong Kong Convention Centre and the organizers are hoping for more in 2018.
