A G-Class crashed through the glass wall of a parking garage, dropped three stories down and ended up on its roof in the street below, in North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The driver suffered multiple injuries, but will recover in hospital.
The crash reportedly happened at around 11 p.m. last night, near a famous boulevard in Los Angeles. The SUV landed on its roof amid pieces of broken glass and massive pieces of concrete, ruptured from the structure located in North Hollywood.
“I thought it was an earthquake”, a resident told the media that showed up at the crash scene, soon after the G-Wagon slammed onto the asphalt.
The first reports of the crash showed that the driver was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, but later on, it emerged that he was actually alert and talking when he was found by the emergency response team.

At the time of his admission in the hospital, he was listed as a patient in stable condition. No other persons were harmed and no other cars were damaged in the crash, even though the G-Class flew into a busy boulevard of Los Angeles.
Preliminary investigation shows that the driver stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake pedal and his G-Wagon sped through the glass exterior wall. LAPD investigators said that it was not a DUI case.
