The last watch of the IWC’s Limited Toto Wolff Edition is going under the hammer ahead of the British Grand Prix. All money will be going for charity.

It is the Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Edition Toto Wolff x Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One. The long name of the model may be difficult to remember. But the F1 team is making it worthwhile.

Part of the 100-unit limited series, it is the very last piece of the collection and it will go under the hammer with Bonhams. All money will go straight into the bank accounts of the Ignite charitable initiative. It is a joint charitable initiative that Lewis Hamilton and Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team have been operating. It is their way to support diversity and inclusion in motor racing.

Over the years, Team Principal Toto Wolff and the drivers have been wearing IWC Schaffhausen watches both and off the track. The one he is now giving away together with the team’s longtime partner is number 50 out of 100.

The IWC team came up with the idea to launch a name that carries Toto Wolff’s name following the Team Principal’s success with Mercedes. Either Lewis or former teammate Nico Rosberg in 2016 were the ones to win the World Championship title since 2013, when the Austrian joined the team. The series came to an end last year, when Red Bull’s Max Verstappen defeated Lewis on the very last lap of the very last race.

“After almost a decade of partnership, it is an honour and a privilege to have been asked to design a watch with IWC Schaffhausen. For me, it had to be a Big Pilot’s Perpetual Calendar,” Toto Wolff explained.

The watch features a Ceratanium case and crown, a glass dial and black hands. The printing and luminescence sport the Petronas green. A black rubber strap with textile inlay wraps the watch around the wrist.

The one who gets the watch will also get a 10-minute video call with Toto Wolff and a tour of the team’s headquarters.
