With its 2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG can easily outpace other such kind of machineries and live up to its AMG name. You might believe that its standard 381 HP would be more than enough for a performance oriented sedan. But Loewenstein thought different.
The German tuning house Loewenstein came up with a two-stage power boost and plastic conversion for the four-door coupe.
The stage one kit includes a plug-and-play software, set to give the 2.0-liter turbocharged engine a boost of 410 CP and 530 Nm of torque. If it’s still not enough for the speed addicts, there comes stage two. Bespoke golden downpipes to match the wheels and a sports catalytic converter together with sport air filters will take it all the way up to 425 CP and 540 Nm of torque.
A lightweight SAPHIR wide bodykit made of carbon-fiber dresses the CLA 45 AMG in party garments: a vented hood, a rear bumper, a trunk spoliler lip and a typically RS diffuser and an extra 20-mm at the front and 40 mm at the rear make the Affalterbach sedan a real fireball with a solid aerodynamic silhouette.
And now let’s get down to the golden wheels that make the CLA roll. They are 20-inch Concave wheels of 245/35ZR20 at the front and 285/30ZR20 at the rear, wrapped in Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber. There is also an option for 20-inch three piece alloy set with a Rennsport design.
Loewenstein only teases the interior of the CLA 45 AMG, claiming it is decorated with carbon-fiber details that cover the steering wheel, the dashboard and the center console. The floor got soft velour wrap.
How much is this design going for and is there more than 1 up for purchase.
