Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing have built a 2,700-horsepower boat inspired by the G63. The new 59’ Tiranna AMG Edition comes with the Mercedes-AMGG 63 Cigarette Edition. They are both revealed at the Miami International Boat Show.
The performance-oriented 59’ Tiranna AMG Edition is the latest addition to a highly exclusive line of special edition boats.
Lightweight construction materials were used in key location for the power boat: the hardtop is made completely of carbon fiber, while the hull and deck are vacuum infused using a highly optimized composite laminate schedule with PVC coring. The instrument panel is a nano-coated solid surface that is anti-reflective and heat-resistant, which also features titanium fasteners.
A close collaboration between the Cigarette Racing Team and the Mercedes-AMG design team have led to a striking resemblance between the boat and the offoardder.
Mercedes-AMG and Cigarette Racing – Performance on water and on land
“The Tirranna AMG Edition is the perfect transfer of this principle to a boat: Its’ dynamic and at the same time deeply sensual proportions embody athletic beauty. In its powerful, clean look, the boldness of the Mercedes-AMG G 63 can be experienced,” says Gorden Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler AG.
The Cigarette Racing Team 59’ Tirranna AMG Edition is powered by six supercharged 4.6-liter V8 Mercury Racing 450R outboard engines, each producing 450 peak propshaft horsepower for a total of 2,700 horsepower, that make the boat reach a top speed of 80 mph.
With a capacity of 26 people and spaciousness of a luxury sport boat, the 59’ Tiranna AMG Edition features a unique gyrostabilizer, which decreases the boat’s roll by 80%.
