The new Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ Sedan and Estate are here to redefine performance in the segment and cause trouble to the new BMW M5 facelift. With enhanced aero-balance, faster and larger, they take family fun to a whole new level.
With a new AMG bodystyling and optimized aero-balance, the new Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ Sedan and Estate get reduced wind resistance. This happens despite the fact that they are now 27 millimeters wider, feature greater track width and larger wheels on the front axle.
As spy photos revealed, the models come with a brand-new rear end design. The sedan displays a trim strip in high-gloss chrome on the top. Meanwhile the Estate shows a similar one extending further up to the end of the outer rear lamps.
In order to enhance aerodynamics, the Sedan and Estate get a reshaped rear apron, with a lower part in high-gloss black, also featuring a trim strip in Silver Shadow, taking up the contour of the reshaped twin-tailpipe trim elements. It is easy to identify the S-Model, as it has a new design in titanium matt with fluting in and out.
Customers can also order the new 19-inch 10-spoke light alloys, while the S-Model comes as standard with new 20-nch 5-twin-spoke alloys. Customers can opt for further costumization with the optional AMG Night Package. It brings mirror housings, window frames and various trim elements in high-gloss black. But there is also the AMG typical radiator grille in darkened design. The AMG Exterior Carbon-Fiber package is exclusively available for the 63-series models.

Onboard the models, there is the sporty luxurious typical atmosphere, with high-quality materials. AMG seats in nappa leather wear the AMG badge in the backrests. There is also a nappa leather trim for the dashboard and beltlines, while the seat belts are in crystal grey. Individually adjustable ambient lighting is also standard.
The cars also get the MBUX infotainment system with dual screens, intelligent voice control and AMG specific displays and settings. The 12.25-inch displays are standard for the S-Model. The driver can choose one of the three AMG display styles of Modern Classic, Sport and Supersport.
The AMG menu of the new Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ includes the various special AMG displays such as Engine Data, gear speed indicator, Warm-up, Set-Up, G-Meter and RACETIMER.
The driver also gets the new AMG Performance steering wheel in twin-spoke design in Dinamica microfiber or a leather-Dinamica microfiber combo. It features the AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9G transmission paddles that help the one in the driver’s seat shift manually.
The figures of the new Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+
The Mercedes-AMG E 63 4MATIC+ Sedan and Estate come with the company’s 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine, that develops 612 horspewer and a peak torque of 850 Nm. The E 63 4MATIC+ model benefits from the presence of the same unit. This time though, it is rated at 571 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque.
The S accelerates from a standstill to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds, while it takes the base variant 3.5 seconds. The Estate runs the same distance in 3.5, 3.6 respectively.
The cars get the specially developed suspension AMG RIDE CONTROL+ with fully supporting multi-chamber air suspension and adaptive adjustable damping. The driver can select Comfort Sport or Sport+.
There is also the AMG Performance 4MATIC+ variable all-wheel drive, that comes with a feature for those that are thirsty for fun: Drift Mode (S-Models), that can be activated in the RACE driving program, using shift paddles. There is also a rear-axle locking differential that improves traction and driving dynamics.
