A Russian vlogger plays the enraged owner of a Mercedes-AMG G63 in a video that has become viral. He airlifts his vehicle by helicopter and drops it to the ground from almost 1,000 feet (300 meters).

It was actually nothing but an outrageous publicity stunt posted on YouTube and Instagram. Igor Moroz is a young vlogger specialized in pranks, so he puts this one on this list as well.

Local website Kolesa writes that Moroz and a friend of his fought for a contract and Moroz vowed to destroy his G-Wagen if he lost the said deal. It eventually happened and he planned to go all the way with the bet. He had to smash off the car from quite a height, but that was impossible without the help of a helicopter.

He hired a helicopter from the airport in Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia, after several air centers from Moscow rejected his proposal. The helicopter crew from Petrozavodsk agreed on the job for 250,000 rubles (approximately $4,000). The off-roader was strapped onto it, airlifted and eventually dropped from a height of almost 1,000 feet (300 meters).

Once dropped to the ground covered by snow, the G63 was reduced to a pile of contorted metal. The imaginary G-Class owner, Igor, watched through dark heart-shaped sunglasses, sitting in a sunbed with the backrest up, in the snow, in the middle of nowhere, how the car came to grief and smiled all throughout the session. Playing the extravagant owner, he claims that the SUV had been a nightmare since he had bought it back in March 2018,for 16.8 million rubles ($270,000).

Igor tells of how the German off-roader needed repairs on a monthly basis. He also appeared to be furious as the dealer did not consent on replacing the faulty parts under warranty. Hours later, a tractor came to clear the mess.

Apparently, the publicity stunt worked. 100,000 has already watched the video posted on YouTube in just 24 hours. Unfortunately for him, the case is already under the investigation of the Russian police.
