How red is too red? We have already seen the G-Class in so many colors, including pink and purple. So vivid red might never be too red compared to that. But still, painting a military vehicle candy-red, wouldn’t it turn it into a… fire truck? This car is definitely on fire!
The red-hot Mercedes-AMG G63 RED is the creation of the daring Russian tuning house TopCar Design, for a Russian oligarch. He asked for red and got more than he expected. Of course, the customer is always the master.
The tuners went out of their minds to make the car look as if it was in flames. The Mercedes-AMG G63 is covered in the Hamann Spyridon body kit. Wider, lower and looking more blazing than ever, the AMG “fire truck” comes with redesigned bumpers, a ventilated sports bonnet and various white details such as the mirror housing, the rear diffuser and the side skirts.
The water pump – oh, no, sorry, we just went with the flow… – the tailpipes set was moved to the side and the spare wheel was simply deleted from the rear. The complete the flaming looks, TopCar Design got this moving torch up on AMG wheels with white and red finish.
The customer did not specify any power boost, as he was satisfied with the 5.5-liter V8 biturbo, able to flood out no less than 571 HP and to run the 0-100 km/h distance in 5.4 seconds.
On the inside, the fire was partly extinguished, as the perforated nappa leather in a black and read combo, instead of the usual alligator skin upholstery, seems to fit the interior layout of the G 63.
