Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S beats BMW M3 Competition and the M5 at Magny Cours. French pro driver Romain Monti was the one that drove the high-performance car against the clock at the Grand Prix circuit.
The Mercedes-AMG needed 1:56:49 to complete the fast lap. It was faster than the BMW M3 Competition with 1:59:80 and the BMW M5 with 1:58:39, but is still lower than its more potent sibling, the Mercedes-AMG GT R, with 1:51:85 and the AMG GT S with 1:55:40.
The fastest car at the Magny Cours GP, though not an official record, belongs to the McLaren Senna, that took 1:42:99 to complete a lap.
The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S is powered by the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that delivers 639 PS and a torque of 900 Nm and is connected to an all-wheel drive 4MATIC + system. The car hits 100 km/h (62 mph) from a standstill in 3.2 seconds on its way to a top speed of 315 km/h (195 mph).
