Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team donates the suits worn by Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas last season. Both will go on sale at a Bonhams charity online auction. Money will be donated to NHS Charities Together to help fight coronavirus.

The online charity auction is live until April, 29. The customers can bid on the suits worn by the Brit and the Fin during last season. One of them is the very suit that Lewis Hamilton wore on the road to his 6th World Champions Title, 5th for Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

So far, the bid for Lewis’s suit has reached 7,000 pounds, while for that of Valtteri’s has hit 1,100. The bid continues for the next ten days.

When will the F1 season start?

The two drivers already have their new suits ready for the new season, but they cannot race. The coronavirus pandemics has forced FIA to cancel race after race, starting with the Australian Grand Prix, cancelled just hours before the quali.

It is most likely that the season will resume in July, with the Austrian Grand Prix, one of Austrian Toto Wolff‘s top favorites. No spectators will though be allowed at the Red Bull Ring in the 5,000-residents town of Spielberg.

Meanwhile, the factories in Brixworth and Brackley are closed and everyone is working from home. The only one in the factory is the tech team, that has already provided the hospitals across England with their newly designed respirators.
