The Mercedes-AMG S 63 gets the Manufaktur luxury customization treatment in the United States. The program brings along vibrant colors and some interesting onboard trims.

The high-performance sedan is still enjoying its days of glory. Mercedes decided to keep the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 under the hood of the model, but with a twist. It’s now called E Performance which stands for hybrid.

To get the looks to match that hybrid drivetrain, customers can now choose from several special paintworks. The list includes the Vintage Blue Uni and Silicon Grey Uni as solid colors, but also the Graphite, Mystique Blue, Olive, and Rubellite Red as metallics. Matte Kalahari Gold Magno is the shade that would guarantee head-turning when cruising along sunny LA boulevards, while Black Magno will help owners keep a low profile.

The Manufaktur program brings Exclusive Nappa with diamond quilting and the AMG logo embossed into the front head restraints on board the luxobarge. Nappa leather covers the armrests, door center panels, center console, and lower section of the instrument panel. The driver will hold an AMG Performance steering wheel in Nappa in their hands. Customers can choose Yacht Blue, Nut Brown, Deep White, or Pastel Yellow in combination with black.

When the door opens, the backlit door sills will display a Manufaktur pattern and the AMG logo.

The Mercedes-AMG S 63 E Performance is not for sale in the United States yet. So the fact that Mercedes did not mention pricing makes sense. Until the high-performance sedan sets wheels on American soil, customers can settle for either the Mercedes-Benz S 500 4MATIC or the S 580 4MATIC. The Maybach luxury versions are also for sale in the States as either S 580 or S 680. The latter is actually a swan song of the V12. It is the last car in the Mercedes lineup to ever feature that mighty power unit.
