The Mercedes-Benz GLE has become a Maybach, but without the logo. The SUV has undergone a major makeover in the hands of the Hofele specialists.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE is the latest entry “Ultimate” range of Hofele. As others in the special range, the SUV wears a two-tone paint job. It comes, as Maybachs used to, with a Tiffany Gold and Obsidian Black combination and it runs on 23-inch Turbine forged alloy wheels with a light gold finish.

The SUV received a new radiator grille with vertical slats similar to those of the Maybachs as well. A new front bumper and several chrome accents, one of each slicing the bonnet in two, are also on the list of novelties.

The rear is somewhat less flashy. Gloss black finish and matching black twin exhaust pipes complete the design of the Mercedes-Benz GLE by Hofele.

The interior also underwent a massive change of look. Once the door opens, the sight of it is striking. Almost every surface onboard has been reupholstered. Everywhere you turn, there is white Nappa leather and Alcantara with contrasting golden stitching, wood and aluminum finish. The logo of the German tuning house found its place on the headrests that now feature relaxing pillows. Two tablets have been mounted on the headrests of the front seats.

A sun roof and ambient lighting complete the luxury airy atmosphere.

The boot sports a high-gloss wooden floor with aluminum trim.

The Mercedes-Benz GLE by Hofele may seem familiar

The mid-size SUV Mercedes-Benz GLE by Hofele may seem familiar and there is a reason for it. The model takes its inspiration from the Hofele Ultimate HGLS.

And just like on board that HGLS and the Maybach variants, the standard rear bench vanished and individual seats replaced it. There is a center console between them now.

The Hofele kit is available for the entire GLE range from the 300d to the AMG 63 variant.
