Mercedes-Benz X-Class gets five stars Euro NCAP

Mercedes-Benz X-Class is not only luxurious and potent, but starting today, it is considered one of the safest in its class. The company’s first pickup truck has been awarded five stars at the Euro NCAP Test.

Occupants safety, child safety, pedestrian protection and assistance systems were the strong points of the luxury workhorse that will not be sold in America.

A robust structure, a high-strength passenger cell and a structure with front and rear ends capable of absorbing energy through selective deformation, but also the high number of safety systems integrated onboard, the X-Class turns out to be a reference point in the mid-size pickup segment.

The German pickup is standardly fit with seven airbags and with the i-Size attachment system for two child seats. It also benefits from the help of the Active Brake Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Traffic Sign Assist. In addition, it has been equipped with a trailer stability program, a tyre pressure monitoring, an emergency call system, cruise control and LED headlights. A reversing camera, together with a 360-degree camera are the extra mile that Mercedes has gone for a safer experience.

On the market since this November, the Mercedes-Benz X-Class starts at a price of 37,294 Euros (including VAT) in Germany.
