For Valentine’s Day, Mercedes has launched a special Mercedes G-Class Stronger Than Diamonds Edition of 300 units and a global campaign “A love that lasts forever. Stronger than diamonds”.
The limited 300-unit Mercedes G-Class Stronger Than Diamonds Edition is based on the Mercedes G 500 with a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine developing 421 PS and 610 Nm. The anniversary model is painted in the Manufaktur rosewood grey magno color developed especially for this model. The interior is fully upholstered in black nappa leather with contrasting stitching in rose, and the floor is covered with MANUFAKTUR deep-pile floor mats.
The ignition key has a unique design with a genuine silver badge on the reverse bearing the name of the special edition and the diamond insignia, and all four stainless steel door locking pins feature a 25-carat diamond, while the outer door handle features an embossed diamond logo. Grab handle on the passenger side and illuminated entry sills in stainless steel with finely crafted Stronger than Diamonds badge.
Customers will receive a certificate from the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), assuring that the diamonds originate from ethically, socially, and ecologically responsible sources.
The price of the Mercedes G-Class Stronger Than Diamonds Edition is 175,000 euros plus VAT in Germany, i.e. 208,250 euros. Thus, the special series G-Class Stronger Than Diamonds Edition costs 78,047 euros more than a standard Mercedes G 500.
The launch of this model is accompanied by a social media campaign entitled “A love that lasts forever. Stronger than diamonds”. The campaign shows what makes this exclusive G-Class model such a desirable Valentine’s gift. The Mercedes G-Class special series is on display from 14 February until 2 March 2024 at the Studio Odeonsplatz in Munich.
The Mercedes G-Class will undergo a facelift this summer when Mercedes unveils the electric version of the G-Class. The electric G-Class will have four motors, one at each wheel, to simulate the three lockable differentials of the conventional version.
