Mercedes reveals prices of the new EQS luxury electric sedan in the U.S. For customers living there, the model starts at $102,310.
The all-new Mercedes EQS will hit the showrooms in the U.S. this fall, with three different trims and two different powertrains. Entry-level Premium variants come with 20- or 21-inch alloy wheels and a panoramic sunroof, heated and ventilated front seats, plus a Burmester surround system.
Mercedes will offer the EQS 450+ Premium variant with a 12.8-inch infotainment display. Upper in the range, there is the EQS 580 4MATIC Premium with the MBUX Hyperscreen extending from A-pillar to A-pillar. It integrates the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, the 17.7-inch infotainment system, plus a 12.3-inch display for the front passenger.
Customers will benefit from the presence of the AIRMATIC suspension and of a Parking Package that includes the surround view system. Driver Assistance Package with a long list of safety features is part of the offer.
Further up, there is the Exclusive trim, starting at $$105,710 for the EQS 450+ and at $122,510 for its 580 4MATIC sibling. The intermediate variants get the head-up display and multicontour front seats with massage function. A four-zone climate control and the air balance package are also onboard.
At the top of the range comes the Pinnacle trim. Those who want to get “the best or nothing” will have to start at $108,510 for the EQS 450+or at $125,310 for the EQS 580 4MATIC. The Pinnacle trim is designed especially for those who prefer to relax in the rear seats and be chauffeured. That is why Mercedes added heated and ventilated power rear seats with memory and comfort headrests. USB-C ports and rear center armrest with smartphone wireless charging are also in the rear.
Prices for the new Mercedes EQS – what range and performance do you get for the money?
The Mercedes EQS 450+ comes with rear-wheel drive provided by an electric motor. The unit is capable of developing 334 PS and 568 Nm of torque. These parameters make the luxury sedan run from 0 to 60 mph (0-96 mph) in 5.9 seconds and hit a top speed of 130 mph (210 km/h).
Figures are quite different for the EQS 580 4MATIC, with two electric motors and electric drive. It gets 523 PS and 856 Nm, plus a sprint from 0 to 60 mph in approximately 4.1 seconds. The top speed is the same.
In compliance with the WLTP standards, the EQS can drive up to 487 miles (784 kilometers) on a single charge.
