Everybody is nowadays interested in the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class. But the predecessors are not to be missed. They can  upgrade for a reasonable price to become sports-vans. This is the case for the Viano that KTW specialist worked on.

The most powerful engine of the new V-Class is a 190 HP 2.2 diesel, which is pretty good. But not so good, if we compare it to the previous Viano and its top-of-the-line diesel variant. That one packed a 224 HP 3.0 liter CDI, for those who wanted more from a van that could carry more people than an R-Class and more luggage than an E-Class Estate, at the same time.

Maybe you won’t find enough the difference of 41 HP. But it only costs you 1.990 euros to make the Viano faster. Meanwhile, that is 0-100 km/h in just 8.7 seconds and a maximum speed of 208 km/h. These values are better than the new Mercedes-Benz V 250 BlueTec (190 HP). Just a thought.

Meanwhile, you can’t miss other things in the menu: the 22-inch alloy wheels set, with a sport design and the 255/30 R 22 tyres, along with the Bilstein coilover suspension, so that the van could be handled sportier, but also safer. All of these modifications require another 5.000 euros, but it’s really a small price to pay for such a performant van.
