Not that the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG isn’t fast or powerful enough, but with tuners you never really know where’s the limit until they get their hands on a vehicle and take it to the extreme.
How extreme, you should ask? Well, around 853 hp extreme. At least this is what German tuner Posaidon had in the bag for the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG facelift in terms of power upgrade packages.
Let’s recap for a moment. Mercedes-Benz offers the E63 AMG facelift with a twin-turbo 5-liter V8 developing “only” 585 hp and a maximum torque of 800 Nm. Pretty satisfying, if you ask us.
However, Posaidon thought there’s room for better. A lot better. In that respect, the tuner managed to increse the power output to a godlike 853 hp while the maximum torque took a serious dose of steroids to reach 1,300 Nm. Responsible for such monstrous performances are two larger turbochargers, a custome exhaust system and other electronic settings.
Because of the added power, Posaidon engineers had to revise both the rear axle and the gearbox, while the top speed has been electronically limited at 345 km/h, a lot higher than the standard E63 AMG which can sprint to 250 km/h.
Just in case you are not their targeted hardcore client, Posaidon is willing to offer more down-to-earth power upgrade packages, ranging from 630 hp to 749 hp.
