Meet Olivier Cresp, maître parfumeur. He is one of the five master perfumers that created the new Mercedes-Benz perfumes. For him, fragrances are part of himself and part of his childhood. Every scent is a memory, an emotion, a journey.
The Mercedes-Benz perfumes are made by experts who have decades of experience and unquestionable expertise in mastering and combining fragrant new materials.
“The smell of grass is the smell of my childhood. My father was bringing a lot of samples every night. And as a kid, I had a passion to become a perfumer”, Olivier Cresp recalls while driving his Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster along the narrow streets of his native village, the medieval ancient Grasse, in the Southern France.
But what hides behind the dark red bottle in the Mercedes-Benz VIP Club Collection that bears the Infinite Spicy by Mercedes-Benz label? Following in the footsteps of its creator, we step into a world where new and old mix up to create another dimension.
“I like to work from something existing. I don’t like to work from something abstract. In my perfumery, I like to use products, ingredients that I like or that I loved in my own childhood”, the master perfumer says while trying everything natural that surrounds him, from simple grass to exotic fruits at the market.
Searching for the perfect aroma, Olivier Cresp drives his Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster through purple fields of lavender in the Provence-Alpes-Cote d’Azur region.
“I need to be different when I create a fragrance. If I want to follow the market, then I am lost, you know? So I should come up with something new”, is Olivier’s plan. 
For Infinite Spicy, the result is an oriental fougère, not very typical, nor conservative, but rather deep, modern and sexy, with a gourmand touch but without being sweet.
Infinite Spicy is a tart and peppery perfume, verging between the freshness of black pepper, anis and cardamom and the warmth of ambery/woody notes.
“What I do is try to stay simple. I don’t want to complicate things. And frankly speaking, to make something simple is very hard”, tells the master of scents, with nearly one hundred perfumes in his portofolio.
Addictive Oriental by Alberto Morillas, Black Leather by Honorine Blanc, Energetic Aromatic by Annie Buzantian and Pure Woody by Harry Fremont are the other perfumes the exclusive Mercedes-Benz collection.
