The Mercedes-AMG GT is inches away from joining the German police fleet. The Mercedes GT is giving the German polizei a helping hand to catch the wrongdoers. The latest sporty from Affalterbach has been presented in police uniform.
Thanks to its miracle-making 4.0-liter V8 biturbo, the standard GT reaches 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds. It is even less for the S, at 3.9 seconds, in its way to catching the mean and the dangerous, up to its electronically limited top speed of 310 km/h (193 mph).
It pretty much sounds like a police car chase in a Hollywood movie, doesn’t it? Imagine the GT, with its glorious exhaust sound coming out of its AMG Dynamic Exhaust System with electronically controlled variable valve, speeding through narrow alleys, avoiding collisions at the very last minute and even running down the stairs. All cars belonging to the wrongdoers do it in movies, so now it’s time the cars of the good guys do it as well. But it would be useful if the driver would just remember to adjust the suspension setting before doing that.
And the policemen cand shoot all they want as the optional Lane Keeping Assist will be watching over them while they take their eyes off the road.
The decision of the German Police comes years after the Dubai Police took in the SLS AMG, but also other super cars like the Bentley Continental, the Porsche Panamera and so on.
