Yes, by any form, beauty is a muse. It has inspired artists for centuries. Blondes, brunettes, redheads, thin and delicate, Rubensian and robust, mistresses or servants. You thought we were talking about women, weren’t you? Nope! It’s super cars we’re talking about! One in particular, actually: the Mercedes-AMG GT.
Launched in September 2014 in the City of Lights, Paris, the Mercedes-AMG GT has inspired poets for months now. Especially the “blonde” Solarbeam one, the first color we have ever seen the AMG GT bearing, on the big night of its presentation.
Well, the décor for the rhymes is not quite romantic. It is a racetrack. And the “blonde” does not whisper, but roars. She is so far from being tender, because she breathes fire.
The Mercedes-AMG GT’s raw power is unleashed on the circuit. “Poetry” is a visceral and stirring visual display of this car in action, set to a cinematic score and poetic script.
We couldn’t agree more with the rhymes of this poem and they all make sense, considering – as the people in Mercedes-Benz say – the breathtaking performance, scene-stealing looks, and a growl that intimidates the road itself.
“The records it will destroy,
The fame it will enjoy.
The thrones it will vacate
The egos it will deflate.
The best machine will win,
So let the fun begin!
The Mercedes-AMG GT.
Raw power. Pure poetry.”
Yes, it is obviously pure poetry coming out of a 4.0 liter biturbo with 462 HP or 510 HP for the GT S. If you want to take her out on a date, just remember: she’s not into fancy restaurants, nor candlelight dinners, nor sunsets by the ocean. This pretty girl was crafted by racers and born on the racetrack. Truly a muse, isn’t she?
