You all probably know by now who Jay Leno is and what beauties hide in his famous garage, but there’s always more to come from this guy.
Jay Leno has quickly become a sort of car guru and as long as he keeps the amazing car stories coming, we have absolutely no problem with that.
In fact, Jay’s latest video is all about his 1972 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3, a car which actually had its destiny decided by Jay Leno’s fans, after he asked them whether the luxury sedan should be restored or not.
The answer was obviously yes, so this classic sedan lives on to see new roads. As a quick history lesson, we would like to add that the 300 SEL 6.3 started as a private venture which consisted of taking the powerful 6.3-litre V8 Mercedes-Benz M100 engine from the luxurious 600 limousine and installing it into the regular W109 S-Class, which at that time only used 6-cylinder engines.
