Mercedes-Benz and The North Face, the outdoor equipment supplier, have started on a spectacular journey through Canada and Alaska, together with a pro squad of photographers, “German Roamers”. They traveled from Whitehorse in Canada to Anchorage in Alaska, on-board two G-Class models.

3,000 kilometers in 13 days, all recorded in photos and videos. A fascinating story to tell grandchildren, a story of pristine scenery, of fauna and flora of the American North, of off-road adventures. From the Yukon territory of Canada, they proceeded along the Alaska Highway to the town of Anchorage.

Hikes, kayak rides and photo sessions at heights from the sky to capture the wilderness of the glaciers were on their list. An extreme climber and member of the professional team from The North Face, Hansjörg Auer, was their companion and guide in the wild. The G-Class vehicles defied river beds and crossed rough terrain, as the road and off-road conditions put man and machine to the limit. But the Mercedes monsters took the crew safely to destination.

The journey was the first joint outdoor carried out by Mercedes-Benz with The North Face. The products of both brands meet the high quality standards when it comes to extreme outdoor activities. The North Face provided the travelers with outdoor clothing, duffel bags, sleeping bags and tents.

Yet it is not the first time Mercedes-Benz partners up with the German Roamers. This comes after their 2016 joint adventure in the Dolomites.
