5. Mercedes-Benz 540 K
The Mercedes-Benz 540 K is not something that you get to see every day. And it is only normal, since only 419 Mercedes-Benz 540 K models were built between 1936 and 1940. 25 of them were Special Roadsters. Premiered at the Berlin Auto Show in 1934, the Mercedes powered by an 8-cylinder, 5-liter engine cu 160 HP, was a dream car back then and it was described to be “specially constructed for particularly high speeds” and it came right on time. The first German highway had been inaugurated in 1932.
4. Mercedes-Maybach G 650 Landaulet
The company’s most exotic cabriolet and for sure the tallest of them all at half a meter of ground clearance, with 6.0-liter V12 biturbo capable of 630 horsepower and 1,000 Nm of torque under that gigantically squared bonnet, the Mercedse-Maybach G 650 Landaulet is based on the G 500 4×4². The eccentric convertible SUV comes with all the features found in the Maybach-s, such as a partition wall separating the VIP-s from the driver. Seats with hot stone massage functions and a private infotainment system pamper the precious occupants.
3. Mercedes-Benz 600
Only 2,677 units of the Mercedes 600 were built, all by hand, all reaching a level of quality that would make other vehicles of those times and these times, too, seem ridiculously modest. Everything in it was hydraulic, it was built without considering costs for a single moment and it was the favorite cars of state leaders and movies stars. Once could not be proper dictator without it. The 600 was 5.45 meters long and it was powered by a 6.3-liter V8 of 250 horsepower and it was fitted with a 4-speed automatic transmission.
2. Mercedes-Maybach S 650 Cabriolet
Mercedes says this is the most luxurios convertible that ever set wheels on the road. And we might just take if for granted. The 6.0-liter V12-powered automobile with 630 horsepower is one exclusive model, since only 300 units will be built. The convertible Maybach heavily relies on the drop-top S-Class in terms of proportion, but exclusive Maybach features have been fitted in it: a new front bumper, a high number of chrome highlights and naturally, the double M logo enhance the perspective of exclusivity.

1.Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR “Uhlenhaut-Coupe”
A race car as only one can be. Two, actually. Two such models were ever built. Developed especially for the 1956 racing season, the Ulenhaut Coupe was never actually used in competitions, as Mercedes decided to pull out. Instead, the head of the Test Department, Rudolf Uhlenhaut, as a company car, a detail that gives sense to the nickname. With a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h) and 302 horsepower on hand, the 300 SLR was a beast on the road.
