The car that invented the 4-door coupe segment back in 2003, the Mercedes-Benz CLS, is now ready for a new generation. The third one will see the light of day in less than four days, at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
Before the climax reveal, Mercedes-Benz shows yet another teaser, this time a video one, that confirms the combination of elegance and sportiness in the lines of the comfortable and functional 4-door coupe.
The video shows sleek flowing lines in sensual red, triangular multibeam headlights and LED taillights and we almost catch a glimpse of a nude interior, but only the seat adjustment in the right front door and the headrests are visible in the 38-second short promotional movie. Yet, we can safely assume that the 2018 CLS will come with the high-tech cockpit integrating the dual display that made its debut with the E-Class business sedan and the touch pads on the steering wheel that have also found room in the exclusive S-Class saloon.
In the end, the Stuttgart-based premium brand promises to reveal the trendsetting model on the 29th of November.
