The final countdown has begun for the future Mercedes-Benz GLE. The SUV set to be revealed soon is being shown in quite a revealing sketch.
A sketch made public by Mercedes-Benz shows the design cues of the future GLE. Connecting the sketch with the spy photos of the prototypes recently caught testing, it is obvious that we are getting a more robust SUV with rounder surfaces. The radiator grille, different from what the spy shots have been discreetly showing, sports two horizontal louvers supporting the three-pointed star.
The headlights seem narrower and elongated, while the hood features prominent powerdomes. The roof rails integrated into the roof reveal its adventurous nature.
The GLE with the most revealing camouflage so far has been caught at the airport in Frankfurt, returning from an intensive test session in the Middle East.
Mercedes-Benz is planning on bringing a whole new engine range to make the GLE more attractive. The company’s 3.0-liter straight-six unit will be available under the hood of the SUV, combined with an EQ Boost function that brings extra power and extra torque for short periods of time. The Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe will follow soon with sportier and more aerodynamic looks.
The future Mercedes-Benz GLE will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show next month, but it is expected to be presented online in the days to come. Stay tuned!
