The Mercedes-Benz GLE 500 e 4MATIC is making his G family proud. The Mercedes-Benz team took the massive SUV with a majestic stance to Albania, to prove its abilities once more, outside the asphalted road.
In the 2,700-meter high Albanian mountains, the Mercedes-Benz GLE fights the rocks and the gravel, as mud and even a river bed are also part of the special program in the land where the internet networking never reaches.
The Bavarian Gunther Holzmann is the offroad guide in the Shushica Valley in the southern Albania, a place considered to be one of the most challenging and beautiful routes off the route.
“The combination of the sea and up to 2,700-metre-high mountains, the pristine, tiny villages and the hospitality of the people – that’s what I like about this place”, says Holzmann soon after setting off.
It might seem a lot to travel 80 kilometers in 10 hours. But no matter how experienced, you need to take small steps, otherwise, any error might throw you down the cliff. Crossing a 6.3 meter wide river bed, with a 0.78 meters depth, you need to be sure that you will make it to the opposite shore. It takes experience, vigilance and… a Mercedes-Benz GLE.
