The Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance F1 Edition comes to remind everyone of the success the brand has been enjoying in Formula 1 for the past years. Except for this one, in which no Mercedes driver won a race.

The new version boasts state-of-the-art tech carried over from motor racing. An electric motor mounted on the rear axle and the 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbocharged engine bring along 680 PS (670 HP) and 1,020 Nm (752 lb-ft). That is how it ends up flashing from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds. The needle of the speedometer stops at 280 km/h (174 mph).

The F1 Edition, available in both Sedan and Estate versions, gets exclusive interior and exterior features. Future owners are getting the MANUFATUR alpine grey uni paint finish. Foiling on the flanks of the car displays the AMG logo and color grading from grey to black. Contrasting red lines show up on both sides and on the front and rear aprons.

The car wears 20-inch five-twin-spoke design AMG forged wheels in matt black. There are also red rim flanges that remind us of the Official FIA F1 Medical Car, provided, just as the Official FIA F1 Safety Car, by AMG.

The new Mercedes-AMG C 63 S E Performance also gets the AMG Aerodynamics Package. Developed in the wind tunnel, the package brings enhanced handling at high speeds. It brings along a larger rear spoiler, a spoiler lip on the boot lid (for the sedan only) and an additional diffuser board.

Customers are also getting the AMG Night Package I and II. That is how their future car will display high-gloss black and black chrome details.

A contrast of black and red decorates the interior. Nappa leather with red decorative topstitching coves the AMG Performance seats. The AMG Performance steering wheel sports nappa leather and Dinamica microfiber with red stitching as well. Meanwhile, the door sill trims come with illuminated AMG lettering. The F1 Edition badge shows up on board, including on the AMG floor mats.
