The Mercedes-AMG E 63 S is designed to be a family car for those who still feel young at heart. It surely is one of the fastest estates out there. But Posaidon tuning experts thought it could do better than “one of”…
A 612-horsepower 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 sets the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S in motion. No wonder the high-performance T-Modell has been a Medical Car in Formula 1 for ages. But the German tuning house Posaidon believes that is not good enough. So the experts in tuning took the family sports car to a whole new level.
There are three different upgrade packages available. The first one of them is the RS 830. It bring upgraded turbochargers, a sports air filter and new exhaust pipes with sports catalytic converters. As the name of the package indicates, the car with this package will benefit from the presence of 830 horsepower. There will also be more torque, up to 1,000 Nm. The model will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.2 seconds and reach a top speed of 350 km/h.
There is also an RS 830+ package. This one includes, except for the upgrades above, new ball-bearing turbochargers. So the Mercedes-AMG E 63 S gets 880 horsepower and 1,200 Nm of torque for a run from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds.
The Mecedes-AMG E 63 S by Posaidon in top configuration
The top configuration comes with ported cylinder heads and a water/methanol injection system. These are enough for 940 horsepower and 1,280 Nm of torque. Posaidon claims that the top of the range variant hits 100 km/h from a standstill in less than 3 seconds.
There is also a more modest variant for those who do not want a major change on their performance estate. A simple PowerBox takes the output from 612 to 707 horsepower.
