It is in a class of its own, Mercedes says about the latest beast-member of the AMG GT family, the Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupe. Designed for goosebumps just as much as for daily use, all variants dress to impress.
Mercedes details the 4-Door Coupe in a new photo gallery. The Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S 4MATIC+ and the 53 4MATIC+ are the models that take center stage in the photo shooting that took place in the United States, in the city of Austin, but also on a nearby racetrack.
The 63 S 4MATIC+ 4-Door Coupe comes with the 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo engine and 639 horsepower, together with 900 Nm of torque. Equipped with the AMG Performance 4MATIC all-wheel drive with variable torque distribution, the car also gets the super-thrilling Drift Mode for extra-fun onboard.
It takes the 63 S 4MATIC+ just 3.2 seconds to run from a standstill to 100 km/h (62 mph) and it hits a top speed of 315 km/h.
The 53 model is the tamed one, if anything can be tamed on an AMG. The car gets the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder engine with exhaust gas turbocharger and electric auxiliary compressor, that provides it with 435 horsepower and 520 Nm of torque. An EQ Boost function adds further excitement behind the steering wheel, packed up with 22 horsepower and 250 Nm more. The top speed of the softer beast is of 285 km/h and it can go from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds.
The production of the all-new Mercedes-AMG GT 4-Door Coupé started in September, in hall 36 of the Mercedes-Benz Sindelfingen plant and is set to hit showrooms next month.
