The Mercedes-Benz Edition 1 X 350d 4MATIC has just seen the light of day. But light isn’t exactly what it inspires, since it comes with fierce looks and a frightfull black livery to match.
After the release of the standard version last December, the Edition 1 is prepared to hit the market next summer. The Edition 1 gets more attractive design accessories and features.
The Mercedes-Benz Edition 1 X 350d 4MATIC is available in three colors: Kabara Black, Bering White and Rock Grey. Regardless of the paint of the body selected by the customer, the premium pick-up truck features a black grille, black three-pointed star badges and black door handles, rear tailgate handle, exterior badges, roof rails and beltline trim.
Additionally, all Edition 1 models run on black 19-inch six-twin spoke alloy wheels, that give it a dynamic and aggressive profile styling.
A bedliner and a hard tonneau cover in the same black finish are part of the equipment package.
Onboard the diesel pick-up, there are special floor mats, a chrome-plated Edition 1 bade on the passenger’s side dashboard and rear privacy glass. The occupants are pampered in leather seats.
Under the bonnet of the Edition 1, there is the power unit of the standard X 350d 4MATIC, that we tested last fall: the 3.0-liter 6-cylinder turbo diesel engine that develops 258 horsepower and 550 Nm of torque, transferred to both axles via the all-wheel drive 4MATIC system with a low range reduction gear.
