And the award goes to… Mercedes-Benz. No, it’s not the Oscars’ night and nobody’s giving Academy Awards this time. The Benz got no less than four design awards in the Automotive Brand Contest 2014.
Do they still have space to put the trophies? Mercedes-Benz is collecting awards. The C-Class, the S-Class Coupe, the V-Class just had four awards all together in the Automotive Brand Contest 2014. A jury of top experts has decided that this year’s Mercedes-Benz models deserve the design prizes. Therefore, four of its highest “Best of Best” prizes went straight to Stuttgart.

The good-looking vehicles got the Best of Best prize, a rating that is reserved to those who gain outstanding achievements along the year.
- “Our best launch for the past 20 years”, as Dieter Zetsche, the Chairman of the Board of Management in Daimler, calls the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, was given the prize for the exterior design. Its modern aesthetic looks, featuring sensuous lines and surfaces that exude harmony and excitement have convinced the juries.
- The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Coupe was awarded for its top-quality facilities, luxurious and sporty looks. The sporty personality, with official consumption figures of 9.4 l/100 km, got prizes both for the exterior and the interior design.
- And last, but not least, the interior of the Mercedes Benz V-Class received the award due to its unique sense of value derived from high-quality materials and finely designed details that perfectly fit the class.
