Mercedes-Benz reports new sales increase in October

Mercedes-Benz USA is preparing to close the year en fanfare. The company sold 28,955 units acorss America, marking a 1.0% increase from the same period last year. There were 2,446 vans and 140 smart cars going to lucky customers.

On a year-to-date basis, Mercedes-Benz reports a total of 271,205 vehicles sold in the United States.

“We are on track for a solid close to 2017 as we continue into the fourth quarter,” says Dietmar Exler, president and CEO of MBUSA. “Momentum is growing with our newly launched S-Class Sedan, AMG models and the strong demand for our SUV lineup.”

The mid-size sedan C-Class is the volume leader, with 5,996 units sold. The GLE SUV, at 4,817 units sold, and the E-Class business sedan (CLS included), with 4,681, are keeping it company at the top of the ranking.

The Americans are crazy about high-performance as well, since Mercedes-AMG sold 3,256 units in October, hitting 26,822 cars in 2017, up by 52.9%.
