12 days before the world premiere, Mercedes announced more data about the new Mercedes EQS, including the versions and range.

Mercedes EQS will have three versions:
– EQS 450+ with 245 kW/568 Nm, 90 kWh battery and rearwheel drive
– EQS 580 4Matic with 385 kW/855 Nm, 107.8 kWh battery and all-wheel drive
– an AMG version about which Mercedes has not yet given more details

The EQS 450+ will have a NEDC consumption between 16.0-19.1 kWh/100 km, while the EQS 580 4Matic consumes 16.9-20.0 kWh/100 km. Consumption figures are very low for a car with this size and power due to an exceptional Cx of only 0.20.

Outstanding efficiency is also due to intelligent recuperation.
The driver can adjust the degree of recuperation in three steps via shift paddles on the steering wheel. In DAuto, up to 5 m/s2 are achieved. The recovery output is up to 290 kW.

Three types of  aero wheels are available with 19, 20 and 21 inch.

The battery can also be preheated or cooled while driving.
The battery can be charged from AC stations with up to 22 kW (optional) or to DC stations with up to 200 kW. In just 15 minutes, energy is charged for 300 km.

Mercedes guarantees the battery more than any other manufacturer: 10 years or 250,000 km. The maximum range is up to 770 km, exceeding by 10% the initial prediction of 700 km.
The maximum speed will be limited to 210 km / h.

As we presented in a video a few months ago, the 4Matic version will have the Torque Shift function, which intelligently and continuously distributes the drive torques between the front and rear axles. Torque Shift ensures that the most efficient eATS (electric drivetrain) is used in each case and offers a much faster response than with mechanical all-wheel drive.

After presenting the interior with the new Hyperscreen display that will be optional (standard will be available the 12.8 inch screen from the new Mercedes S-Class) Mercedes now reveals the camouflaged photos of the new Mercedes EQS.
