The second-generation Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain is available with three powertrains, including the premiere E 300 de 4Matic plug-in hybrid diesel.

Based on the new E-Class Estate, the second-generation Mercedes E-Class has roughly the same footprint as the estate version. It measures 4,950 mm long and 1,904 mm wide but is 29 mm taller, standing 1,497 mm higher thanks to higher ground clearance. The new E-Class All-Terrain is 28 mm wider than the first generation, which is the benefit of the rear elbow room, which measures 1,519 mm. The wheelbase of 2,961 mm is also 22 mm longer than the first generation, so the knee room in the rear is more generous.

The E-Class All-Terrain comes standard with air suspension that maintains ground clearance at the same level independent from the payload, 4Matic all-wheel drive with the off-road program, and an optional ‘transparent bonnet’ as part of the 360-degree camera. In Comfort mode, at over 120 km/h, the suspension automatically lowers by 15 mm to improve aerodynamics and reduce fuel consumption.

Compared to the Estate version, the E-Class All-Terrain is characterized by a unique front grille, special bumpers, high-gloss chrome front and rear underride guard, and dark grey wheel-arch liners. It runs on 18-inch wheels as standard, and up to 20-inch wheels are available.

The E-Class All-Terrain comes standard with a 40/20/40 split rear bench and an Easy-pack power liftgate. Boot volume is similar to the estate: 615-1,830 liters and 460-1,675 liters for the Plug-In Hybrid version.

The Mercedes E-Class All-Terrain will be available at dealers in the first quarter of 2024 with three powertrain choices. The All-Terrain will be available for the first time with a Plug-In Hybrid diesel, but the other two powertrains will also have a 48V mild hybrid system.
The three powertrains are:
E 220 d 4Matic/197 ps
E 450 4Matic/381 ps
E 300 313 ps

The Mercedes E 300 de 4Matic All Terrain combines the 197 ps 2.0-liter turbodiesel engine with a 129 ps electric motor, delivering 313 ps and 700 Nm. The new larger battery taken over from the new E-Class has a net/gross capacity of 19.5/25.4 kWh and assures an electric range of between 85 and 102 km.
