“With passion to scale” is the calendar that brings twelve legendary gems from the Mercedes-Benz history, as 1:18 scale models. The miniatures only reveal the secret on closer scrutiny in the latest Mercedes-Benz Classic calendar.
The calendar measures 69 x 49 centimeters brings January with a touch of power: the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.8 AMG racing tourer (model series 109) from 1971, in an idyllic snow covered-landscape. The Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman saloon (W 100) from the late 1960s arrives in February, followed by a contrasting iconic fire-brigade vehicle, the Mercedes-Benz L 6600 from 1950.
All these legends can be in your room or office for 29.90 euros. Orders can be placed on the Mercedes-Benz Classic Store and, from the end of October, the calendar is also available in the Mercedes-Benz Museum Shop.
The cherry blossom season takes the 300 SL Roadster (W 198) from the 1957 on a cruise along Route 66 in North America, with the night-time neon signs reflected in it paintwork.
Summer is the time for speed, for which the Mercedes-Benz 190 E 2.5-16 Evolution from 1989 is just right. And there is always a time for road trips, onboard the O 319 luxurious minibus with panoramic roof and two-tone paintwork in cream and red. The summer season ends with a race, with the Q 125 Silver Arrow sweeping along winding roads.
The fall falls over the Unimog U 401 model series in hard terrain and then passes on to the luxurious Mercedes-Benz 280 SE Coupe from the 1968. November comes with a shade of class in the shape of the 300 CE-24 Cabriolet (A 124) from the 1992. And the show ain’t over until the Mercedes Simplex 28/32 HP from 1904 sings, in the middle of the frozen forest.
It’s been a long way to the final photo. The scale models were first patinated by an expert. The classic Mercedes-Benz vehicles were then positioned precisely within the décor to provide an astonishing lifelike perspective.
