The play of the midgets is over, Brabus has gone XL. 850 XL, that is. The giant luxury, Mercedes-AMG GLS 63, has entered a new league, once it has come out of the tuning workshop. It now looks as if it is on steroids.

Looking madly insane, the Mercedes-AMG GLS 63 now goes under the name Brabus 850 XL and holds – as the name suggests – 850 HP (625 kW), 300 HP more than the standard variant and 265 HP more than the AMG stock engine. 1,450 Nm of torque and a top speed of 300 km/h are the impressive figures that come with the 6.0-liter engine that Brabus worked its usual magic on, fitting it with special turbochargers with larger compression units.

The 2.6-ton and 5.5162-meter SUV now flies from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds.

And the looks naturally match the performance of the colossal SUV. Unconventially starting from the rear, the Brabus engine exhales through larger downpipes (75 mm) and metal catalysts. The sportier looks are amplified by the special control module developed by an additional 30 mm compared to the standard GLS 63 AMG.

Aggressively styled, the Apocalypse-ready Brabus 850 XL now features a custom-made aero package and carbon-fiber Brabus Monoblock multi-spoke forged wheels.

The interior of the 7-seat SUV is wrapped in beige leather and Alcantara, with the Brabus logo adorning the restyled cockpit.
