Mercedes-Benz has opened the world’s largest Mercedes me store in Beijing, China. The construction boasts a contemporary architecture, bringing an interactive brand experience. It is the sixth city with a Mercedes me store, following Munich, Hamburg, Milan, Tokyo and Hong Kong.
The store opened on the occasion of the 2016 Auto Show in China. “With our largest Mercedes me store in the world, we want to become the new lifestyle hotspot here. In this highly sophisticated and relaxed atmosphere, we hope to appeal more than ever to younger and new target groups for Mercedes-Benz”, explained Ola Källenius, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG responsible for Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing and Sales.
Located in the scene district Sanlitum, the venue stretches on more than 2400 square meters, on two floors, thus being the largest Mercedes me store in the world and one of the tallest buildings in the vibrant area of the city.
The guests stepping over the threshold of the store will experience the brand interactively, by using digital touch tables or configuring the car of their dreams and even undertaking test drives. During special events taking place at the store, they can watch product presentations on a floor-to-ceiling LED screen. Launched together with the store opening, the Mercedes me social media platform specifically designed for China includes a special WeChat feature.
The multifunctional store, able to accommodate no less than 800 guests, provides catering facilities in a cafe, bar and restaurant.
The first ever Mercedes me store opened in June 2014 in Hamburg, with the store in Milan and Tokyo’s HANEDA airport following shortly.
