Something fast is coming and it would better not find you unprepared. Mercedes-Benz is teasing a racer with a video that only shows a racetrack.
It’s not like we want to ruin the surprise, but we might just have a hunch about the car they are teasing here. So can you keep a secret? There’s a big chance they are talking about the road version of the Mercedes-AMG GT 3 racer. At the same time, they are also testing the C 63 Coupe, the E63 sedan or the track-focused version of Mercedes-AMG’s own GT sports car, so let’s not cut those off the list.
Something to confirm the guesses: all these cars are set to have the very same biturbo 4.0-liter V8, producing 510 HP. We can tell by the soundtrack playing in the 19-second video that that’s it roaring out there on the circuit.
The invisible car races by itself along what seems to be – by the unmistakably colorful seats – the Hockenheim circuit in Germany, not far from the Mercedes-AMG’s Affalterbach home.
If it is what we are guessing it should be, the gas-starved vehicle is going to find room just between the car launched last year at the Parisian auto show and the version made for the racetrack.
So buckle up! Something fast is coming!
