Magic tricks are not enough any more when it comes to tuning. Cars need attention and – as tuning houses claim – more power. Infinitely more. Even if there is an AMG engine under the hood. So was the case for the Mercedes C 450 AMG.
The W205 C-Class underwent a major makeover in the laboratory of the German tuner Lorinser. The experts came up with this insane version of the Mercedes-Benz C 450 AMG 4Matic. Mixing the already hostile looks with an aggressive body kit, the tuning house built the Lorinser C50 on the structure of the car meant to fill the power gap between the C 400 and the AMG C 63.
With a 3.0-liter biturbo V6, standardly delivering 362 HP and 520 Nm of torque, the new C 50 went all the way up to 430 HP and 620 Nm. The car is going one step closer to the top of the range C 63, the engine of which develops 470 HP and one step closer to… spending a lifetime of savings. The extra power comes for extra 1,051 euros. But wait! There is more!
The power upgrade takes the C 50 to the 100 km/h mark by 0.3 seconds sooner, cutting the sprint time down to 4.6 seconds. You might think that a car looking like that also comes with some amazing maximum speed. Well, it stays amazing, at its electronically limited figures of 250 km/h. And that’s surely not something to mess with.
And how is your bank account doing? We’re just asking, since the body kit integrating new bumpers, a rear deck lid spoiler, mirror trims and sports exhaust will take some extra 7,985 euros out of it.
20-inch wheels, aluminium pedals, illuminated door sills and floor mats with the company’s logo are also on the list. Thinking about purchasing them? Well, good, cause it’s goodbye exotic holiday that you have been planning for years, then: 10,424 euros. But you can have a holiday in Germany instead, to check out this Lorinser means of transportation by yourself.
The latest Lorinser project is being displayed at the Essen Motor Show until December 6th.
